About NewLife
Mission – The mission of NewBold Technical Institute is to “Restore Hope, Dignity and Prosperity to economically distressed communities through the delivery of high quality training programs targeted to regional industry needs.”
Objective – Our objective is to change the lives of people by providing them real hope for their future by guiding them in the development of contemporary career skills for growth industries.
Motive – NewBold Technical Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been developed by a group of business executives with extensive IT business experience. who see the hopelessness created in economically distressed regions by the loss of foundational industries and the resulting lack of employment opportunities. These executives have the passion, the knowledge, and the desire to effect a positive change for the people living in these areas.
History – Craig Newbold was raised in East Liverpool, Ohio and as many young people did, moved away in the late 1960’s to find a better job and a career. He was very fortunate and blessed to develop a career in the field of Information Technology and later built a successful business. Craig returned to East Liverpool with the intent of sharing some of the fruits of his success with the hope those less fortunate may benefit.
Tragically, the people of northern Appalachia have lost many of their foundational industries. These industries were the very lifeblood that supported the area for so many years. The people of this area are in need of a new ideas and new businesses that can act as a catalyst for revitalization.
NewBold Technical Institute was established to be a catalyst utilizing the concept of “Social Entrepreneur”. A social entrepreneur identifies what is not working and solves the problem by changing the system, spreading the solution, and persuading a society to take new leaps. A social entrepreneur is not content to just provide a fish or teach how to fish; he or she will not rest until they have revolutionized the fishing industry.
The goal is to create a “Center of Excellence” in the economically distressed area of East Liverpool, Ohio. The Center of Excellence provides skilled individuals with contemporary career skills training that will fuel new businesses in growth industries.
